For Netflix and Once Upon a Time Content, I cut this craft featurette for Season 5 of the acclaimed TV Series The Crown.

Using exclusive on set footage and exquisite shots from the show, this piece was pushed out during awards season to promote all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to recreate the look of the Royal Family with such detail.

For the launch of Amazon Prime’s Wilderness, I embarked on a mammoth project creating over 200 localised deliverables across several social platforms including TikTok, Youtube and Twitter.

In terms of post production, I did everything here. Offline, online, graphics, audio mix and grading of 4 different concepts that were each then cutdown, adapted and optimised for various social platforms. I was shattered by the end of it, but still found the hi-jinx of Jenna Coleman and Oliver Jackson-Cohen hilarious to watch even after the 200th QC watch through.

As well as the 7 minute piece, there was a also a 60 second cutdown optimised for social platforms, as well as a short teaser released in the week before the reveal.

There were a couple of light-hearted and funny pieces of social content featuring the cast of the show, a recap of the series so far made exclusively for mobile, as well as a set tour from writer and director Chris Addison.

In preparation for the Second Season of teenage Scandi-drama Ragnarok, I edited two promotional videos using scenes from the First Season based on a creative script by Ralph Creative.

First up, was a recap narrated by Eli Anne Linnestad who plays Wenche in the show that sits proudly on the Netflix platform. Second, was a quick-fire and high-octane 60 second teaser to launch on a variety of Netflix’s social channels.

I was involved in the post production from ingesting to delivery, cutting a 60 second and 30 second version to be aired on UK television in the second half of 2021.

To launch the new Vivo Barefoot Primus 3.5, I collaborated with Ourselves creative to whip up this visually striking promo video. Creating a host of psychedelic kaleidoscopic imagery, I also implemented kinetic typography to lend a futuristic vibe to these excellent looking trainers.

Across a hectic couple of days in London, Jack White rode into town to launch his new album Entering Heaven Alive.

Within a whirlwind 48 hours he gigged live at Rough Trade for an album signing, performed the album in full at the beautiful Union Chapel in Islington, before rounding it all up with three intimate gigs at his London record store; Third Man Records.

In addition to acting as a fourth camera operator, I cut together a rather meaty recap of the launch, as well as a couple of live performances within mere hours of the gig finishing.

In the lead up to the Rugby World Cup, O2 teamed up with ex-England international Ugo Monye and Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing for a once in a lifetime trip to Japan to take in the sights and immerse in the culture ahead of the tournament.

Working with an all-woman creative team to deliver a campaign for No7’s menopause line was undoubtedly a challenge. So much amazing information to pull from a candid half hour conversation about menopause, that then needed to be squeezed and condensed into a 30 second and a 20 second TV spot.

Working with director Vicky Lawton was a pleasure and a privilege, and despite being creatively strangled by an over-inflated accounts team, I think we managed to get something that ticked all the boxes. I do wish I had our original cut before it became an edit by committee though. It was much much better.

In 2022 I had the pleasure to edit this fun content piece for Axa with YouTube star Manny Brown and some first teamers from the Liverpool Women’s team; Emma Koivisto, Leighanne Robe and Charlotte Wardlaw. There were hopes to add more of a fun factor in there which were reflected in earlier cuts, but both director Chris Faith and I were still happy with what we managed to put out despite being on the reigns a little bit.

For Boots 2021 summer campaign, I took over this edit project after the original post crew unfortunately couldn’t quite nail the brief. For what should’ve been a healthy lead time for the edit, our timeline was reduced to a deadline of 1 week until broadcast. Eep.

What followed was a chaotic scramble of footage wrangling, motion graphic work and a whole heap of tidying up to get this out the door.

I think we managed it in the end. Just.

2023 kicked off with a tidy project for Fiat that consisted of a 20 second TVC and a series of social edits for online. There were 4 in total, each adapted to 16x9, 1x1 and 9x16.

As part of a collaboration between Vauxhall and The Independent, I edited this branded content piece about the benefits of the Corsa-E; Vauxhall’s entry into the electric vehicle market. The video was one in a larger series following every day people with every day hobbies, and how the car fit into their lives.

Free from duration limitations, and full creative control over the edit, this was a really lovely project to work on.

For Vodafone and Ogilvy, I created a 60 second internal video for the company to thank their staff for all their hard work during the pandemic - using only pre-existing TVC material and stock footage.

I digitally altered shots to include Vodafone branding and colours to make each shot feel part of the same video.

To coincide with the launch of Little Mix’s fourth studio album ‘Glory Days’, Shoot Ralph produced a behind the scenes promo for the first single off the album ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ .

The video currently sits at over 4 million views on YouTube after hitting 2 million within a week after launch.

In addition, I also created two promotional videos for the girls’ documentary and the special edition of their fourth studio album; Glory Days.

At the end of 2022, Morrisons had media spend to promote their Savers range, but no budget for a video. Shot on a Monday, this edit was assembled on set and completed by the Wednesday.

For the South London Gallery and the Artfund, Ralph Creative brought a specially written poem by London artist Jude Yawson to life using patrons of the Gallery.

As Vodafone Broadband was a sponsor for ITV’s The Voice Kids, I was tasked with taking the existing summer campaign TVC and re-editing into a variety of idents to air on the ad breaks over Christmas. This task was made all the more tricky when the licence had expired for the music track used on the ad, so music aficionados will notice she’s not playing the right chords…

Working to a super tight turnaround (sometimes editing whilst on set), each episode comprised of a short Behind the Scenes intro before an energetic cut of the performance itself.

For Bong Joon Ho’s Netflix exclusive Okja, Ralph were in charge of its online marketing campaign.
We played both sides and produced a marketing piece for the movie’s evil Mirando corporation, before hacking said video with a revolutionary call to arms from ALF - The Animal Liberation Front - led by Paul Dano.

Towards the end of 2018, Sony’s Lost in Music became a pop-up space in New York, showcasing more innovative tech and hosting stunning live music.

Each week, a Sony Artist would visit the space and feature in a 15 minute magazine style YouTube show hosted by Kim Taylor-Bennett and Wibert L. Cooper. Filmed, edited and delivered all within the space of a week, each episode featured interviews, competitions and live performances.

As well as creating a suite of GFX for each episode to use throughout the series, I fully edited the first two episodes and oversaw the edits for each subsequent episode.

For Florence + The Machine’s 2018 album ‘High as Hope’, I created the TVC from start to finish using footage from the music video ‘Hunger’.

This included an audio mix of the track to fit within a 20 second and 30 second spot, as well as motion graphics and the core edit.

As part of a promotional campaign for the video game Life is Strange: Before the Storm, Ralph Creative produced a tear-jerking piece of branded content that used real people to celebrate the beauty of friendship.

For the release of the sequel Life is Strange 2, we produced a live action trailer that teased the game’s protagonists and the super natural elements of the game.

To big up the latest Samsung mobile phones, O2 and media agency Jump created a series of promotional videos for online and social channels.

For some reason Nickelodeon let Ralph make an online kids cartoon. The brainchild of Creative Directors Gregor Stevenson and Chris Stack, Tink & Dutch followed a time travelling Langoustine and Slow Loris as they helped protect King Hunnybun from the dastardly Michael the Fowl - a bitter chicken who managed to survive a mass cull at a chicken farm.

We had no idea what we were doing really, but we managed to put out 5 interactive episodes that lived on the Nickelodeon website.

What’s more, the cast was incredible; John Boyega, Sam Riley and Alex Lowe all lended their voices to the characters, and Nick McCarthy formerly of Franz Ferdinand composed the theme tune.

Bonkers I know.

2017 saw the launch of Sony’s Lost in Music, a series of immersive live music events combining breakthrough acts and innovative Sony tech.

To support the campaign, I was heavily involved in all the video production at the events as a Co-Director and Senior Editor including highlight videos and live music performances from acts such as The Chainsmokers, Rag'n'Bone Man and Tinashe.

In 2018, Lost in Music returned bigger and better with wonder-kid Khalid at the helm. Sony showcased a whole host of new tech, a collaborative art project and a fresh line up of exclusive performances from the hottest talent.

To support the campaign, I was once again involved in all the video production content as a Co-Director and Senior Editor that included highlight videos and live music performances including Khalid, Leikeli 47 and Noah Cyrus.

For TransferWise, Shoot Ralph wrote and directed the TVC spot for their Fall campaign.

With minimal budget and around half a day, Andy Knowles and myself created and directed this. Not groundbreaking or anything, but it sure is funny.

For Belstaff’s David Beckham led short film ‘Outlaws’, I was tasked to create 4 15 second teasers in preparation for the film’s premiere. With no brief, no creative lead and nothing more than the final film and some audio splits, here’s what I ended up creating.

For the environmentally friendly eCover, Shoot Ralph produced a series of short promos outlining the safety and sustainability of their cleaning products and to highlight the issue with plastic in our oceans.

During 2013 and 2014, I worked exclusively for the digital television music channel Vintage TV.

As part of a small creative team, my time was split between shooting original content, editing 30 and 60 minute broadcast programming, live music performances and crafting promos and sponsorship idents for the channel.

I predominantly worked on the shows My Vintage and Needle Time, hosted by The Telegraph’s chief music reporter Neil McCormick.

Unfortunately due to copyright reasons the full length shows are unavailable, but here are a couple of the promos I cut for the episodes to get a flavour.

Together with Ourselves creative, I created a series of social and pre-roll advertisements for the fair trade new age coffee company Pact. These low-frame rate stop motion animations came out ruddy lovely I think. Delicious coffee too.

In 2019 I edited a bunch of social assets for Carling based upon their TVC and online documentary series. This also included a rebuild of their logo animation.

In total there were 19 deliverables comprising of 1x1, 9x16, 4x5 and 16x9 resolutions, at both 10 second and 20 second.

As a reactive process during the cold snap of 2019, Heinz saw a chance to promote Tomato Soup as a lovely warm comfort blanket during the horrible weather.
